Founded with a vision to give residents the true coastal dream, St. James is a private gated community that is truly like no other. With everything you could possibly need, beautiful weather, beaches, sports, eating, drinking, and socializing you may never leave your neighborhood again.
St. James is home to four exclusive golf courses, private clubhouses, a marina on the intracoastal, their very own beach club, community gardens, nature parks, and so much more. The decision to build in St. James wasn’t a hard one to make, and it really is true what they say… “It’s a great day to be at St. James Plantation”.
OUR STORY
Growing up in the Piedmont area of North Carolina, David Hopkins spent most summers with a tool belt framing and roofing homes. Homebuilding was a natural fit, as he followed in the footsteps of his father, uncle, and grandfather. These early experiences were instrumental in fostering a passion that ultimately led to a successful career in the industry and the creation of RiverBrook Builders.
1982
Today
Following college graduation, David worked for one of the most renowned luxury home builders in the greater DC Metro Area. It was here that he would be recognized as the Project Manager of the Year and Master Builder while producing more than 200 single-family residences and townhomes.
This invaluable experience helped guide the vision for RiverBrook Builders: a design + build firm catered to the overall customer experience. Founded with a mission to combine a lifelong passion for homebuilding with superior service and quality – to give homebuyers a true “dream home” experience in the buying and building process. We are committed to delivering a customer-first approach throughout the entire homebuilding process while also implementing innovative and sustainable building practices.
